There wasn't a single instance that concieved my love for poetry. It developed in my youth and heightened after being exposed to spoken word artists, poets and writers such as Jackie Hill-Perry, Ezekiel Ozonwo, Janette..ikz, Zora Neal Hurston, Langston Hughes and W.E.B. DuBois, just to name a few.

My name is Abba Amoanua Wie-Addo and I believe that art is the beauty of the mind unfolding. Creativity first begins in the mind. If fed with experiences and inspiration, and the freedom of expression, our creativity can continuously blossom into something remarkable. Particularly, this website will display my poetry, as well as visual collaborations with other artists, to illustrate my work.

I hope my poetry brings you comfort as I display my vulnerability, the beauty in struggle and my passion for the masses to be awakened to the epitome of all things beautiful: the Creator.
